Improve the overall solution of smart city driven smart transportation
With the vigorous promotion of smart city construction, smart transportation, smart medical care, smart security, smart energy, etc. have been paid great attention. In urban construction, transportation is the first. Smart transportation has become an important driving force for economic development. It has become more integrated into all areas of social life, and changed people's life and working methods. Smart transportation plays an important role in the tide of smart city construction. The following is Shao Yuan, President of the Research Institute of Shenzhen Urban Transport Planning and Design Research Center (Intelligent Institute), who wrote the article "Integrated Smart Transport Solutions for Future Cities | Building a" 4C City ".
Since its establishment 20 years ago, Shenzhen Transport Center has been continuously committed to the research, development and application of transport models and transport big data, as well as the planning and design of urban transport and intelligent transport. In recent years, we have transformed from a traditional planning and design research institution to a provider of complete urban transport solutions. Today's report is about the preliminary thinking of the overall urban smart transportation plan for the future. The introduction is divided into two parts. The first part is the prospect of the future smart city and smart transportation, and the second part is the preliminary thinking.
From the perspective of the whole development process of intelligent transportation, it can be divided into three stages. In the 1.0 phase, we focus on the research and development of a single product and the application design of functions. The phase of 2.0 focuses on the interconnection of big data and breaks down data barriers. The new smart city 3.0, which we have entered, is a development stage of a new smart city. It is a new smart city oriented by the Internet of Everything, emphasizing public participation and government enterprise cooperation.
McKinsey's research comprehensively summarizes the future traffic development trend from seven aspects, including shared mobility, automobile electrification, automatic driving, new public transport, renewable energy, new infrastructure and the Internet of Things, covering the most core aspects in the future. Future smart transport is the organization of new traffic modes based on the data drive of the Internet of Everything and various new transport modes as carriers, New transport services are reflected in shared mobility.
In the 2016-2045 Emerging Science and Technology Trend Report, the United States mentioned that the Internet of Things, data mining, including blockchain technology may fundamentally change the travel mode of our entire urban transportation in the next 10-20 years, so the entire urban transportation industry is also changing.
Focusing on smart city construction in Europe and America, the core content of development is the construction of four systems, including smart perception system, smart decision-making, smart operation and smart service. In general, urban traffic in the future must have four key features
The first feature is that the future oriented urban traffic is a complex giant system. Under this system, we need to build an interconnected, diversified and multi-dimensional whole system perception system.
Second, urban management has moved from passive management to smart governance. Since 2000, Shenzhen has emphasized smart growth and smart governance concept of urban transportation. The big premise of smart governance is to have big data support, and based on big data, precise control strategies and service measures can be formulated.
For example, on specific roads, we can learn what kind of vehicles use our roads through big data, and what factors are sensitive to in different time and space, so as to achieve accurate ******** policies and achieve the goal of balanced road network construction.
The third aspect is the concept of mobility proposed by the European Union. The mobility planning has several core characteristics.
First, our focus has shifted from the past focus on the improvement of the capacity of transportation facilities and the speed of movement to the people-oriented quality of accessible traffic, including the change of traffic to urban life, health and environment and the support to economic vitality.
Second, cities in the future will place more emphasis on "urban governance" rather than "urban management", and emphasize the transformation of government services, service collaboration and social value creation. Urban development will highlight smart governance and smart growth.
The third is the change of thinking mode. Traditional thinking focuses on independent system construction, while new thinking focuses on coordinated development between systems, focusing on the coordination of interests, especially public participation. Based on big data itself, accurate adjustment and closed-loop management from planning to preparation to the whole process can be achieved, forming a more effective governance model.
The fourth is to take service as the core, which is reflected in the travel experience of people, and focus on the construction of multi-objective centering on people's feelings, especially the personalized experience oriented seamless travel service in the whole process.
On the basis of the above four trends, cities will certainly become perceptible, operational, controllable and service-oriented cities in the future. These four cities are embodied in urban development as "4C cities", namely, holographic perception cities, online deduction cities, manufacturing cities and serving cities.
First, holographic perception of the city. It is necessary to build a multi-level perception system including smart intersections and smart road sections based on the big data of spatial units to achieve multi-level, full time and space, accurate to lane perception. In the past, only focusing on vehicles further focuses on the perception system including people, vehicle roads, weather and even the entire traffic operation environment. Shenzhen has built a new generation of smart road perception system with smart light poles, smart intersections, smart roads and other elements. The intelligent light pole has multiple functions, including high-definition video, road condition detection and information release, which can realize intelligent monitoring, vehicle flow detection, road hazard identification, information interaction, multi-target radar tracking and other functions. This is one of the core carriers in the future traffic holographic perception system.
The second is online promotion of cities. Realize traffic traceability technology based on big data technology, and deeply understand the generation and evolution mechanism of various transportation modes. For example, this is to analyze the composition of personnel in different areas through mobile signaling data. The use of the last kilometer can be understood through the dynamic data detection of shared bicycles, including the 24-hour monitoring of the flow of people in each area.
Big data and deep learning technology are widely used in the whole traffic texture analysis, traffic practice discovery, public opinion analysis, police patrol, etc. In addition, an online deduction system is established to regress the entire closed-loop activities through data. The core area of Shenzhen has made an online simulation system attempt. A large number of perceptual systems, including high-definition videos, have been deployed on the lanes. Through the deployment, we can accurately find each vehicle. The whole real-time traffic flow can be realistically restored in the background traffic brain, and the traffic plan, including the traffic organization scheme, can be deduced to provide a systematic support for the optimization of the entire traffic flow.
This is an actual case. The traffic police used an online simulation system in an accident in a tunnel in Shenzhen. Through the real-time online deduction of this system, the upstream traffic was relieved, and effective relief was completed within 10 minutes. In the past, without the system, the congestion may last more than half an hour. This is the case discussed at the on-site meeting of Chinese public security traffic police held in Shenzhen this year.
Third, smart control of cities. It is to build a closed-loop management and control activity of "planning, design, construction, management and data" collaborative operation, and give a brief introduction from three aspects: regional level, city level and park level.
The core of the regional level is to establish a regional level management and control strategy and system for active demand regulation. In Arizona, the United States has provided programs for different groups, different travel times, different travel costs, etc., and has effectively changed the behavior and plans of 20% of travelers by trying to achieve a time-space balance on the road network.
